I think John has some still shots from the evening. Vinnie got mad at someone with a video camera.
as i said earlier guys,i have a couple of stuff but i'll have to wait til i'm back to France.

John, I had a blast meeting you; its cool to put a face behind the posts. I knew you and my dad would hit it off with cars [img]wink.gif[/img] Next time I'm in LA we'll hang again for sure. Maybe I'll make it down to one of the LA hangs this summer.
Nice qoute from Vinnie about the Jazz thing. For those that were not there the band played a burning be bop style tune. During this all I could say to myself is this is the most "traditional" Jazz playing I've heard from Vinnie. Those of you that say he isn't a Jazz drummer needed to be there! I am positive you'd change your story! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I've got planned to come to L.A from 1st of august to 14th or something but nothing has been booked yet...ofcourse if i find out about any vinnie performances i will come whenever they are on as long as it is july or august.
I hope Vinnie will change his mind about playing live when hes finished touring with Jeff Beck and do some gigs!
Techy - drum-gear-geek type question coming up: It looks as though Vince has got rid of the rack/suspended tom set up....to my aging eyes it looks as though the floor toms are on legs(!!), and the other two are on bassdrum mounts. Is this so,and is there/ was there any noticeable difference in the sound, or am I being really anal here?

I'm sure that kit just was what was available in the Bay Area. I doubt for a small stay at Yoshis he'd bring a kit up from LA. Last time he was at Yoshis (Jing Chi) he had his usual black and white signature kit. He probably brought that up from LA since they were recording a live album that time.
Oh, and I think he has had his floor toms on legs for some time now.

I'm 100% with Vinnie on the Privacy on the gig.
It should be an intimate communication between them as a group and the Audience.
